• Continuing Job Search and Career Assistance Our relationship with you will grow over the years; we encourage you to stay in contact with us. We love to share in your success, so please call when you have been hired or need job search assistance.
• Placement Record We take the guess work out of applying. When graduates inform us that they are working, we update their record so that next time they are seeking employment, they don’t have to struggle to remember dates, contact names, and phone numbers. Because of our continuing career services assistance, it is important that you call in with placement updates.
• Professional Resume (We will assist you in creating or updating your resume.) We will fax out your resume to employers when they call in with job leads. We will also e-mail your resume to you so you can have an electronic version in addition to giving you hard copies to deliver to employers.
• Access to online Job board Employers are regularly signing up and posting jobs for our graduates. You can view jobs in your immediate vicinity or areas where our other schools are located. (Coming Soon)
• Interviewing Tips We will sit down with you and conduct a mock interview to assess your interviewing skills so that you are better prepared for your meetings with employers.
• professional thank you letters Once you have completed an interview with an employer, come directly to the Career Services Department for a thank you card with postage. When deciding on an applicant to hire, these thank you letters have proven effective for employers. We have seen many graduates gain employment because of this special touch.
• Alumni Membership service An Alumni Association membership card will be presented to you for use with local vendors to receive discounts and added benefits. We have national discounts through our National Alumni Association with Delta Career Education Corporation, as well as our local vendors. Please see our list of local and national discounts.
• Stay connected We are part of Facebook and LinkedIn and pride ourselves on keeping classmates connected. We also give updates and post Alumni Events on these networking sites. Many graduates share in their personal successes by posting their employers as well as promotions they have earned.
• Alumni Discount to miller-motte college online Alumni are eligible for discounts if they choose to earn their Bachelors degree at Career Technical College College Online.
• campus library Your campus library is always available for you to utilize. From our internet and computers to all of the resources located inside the library, it is always there to serve you. While only current students can “check-out” items, everything there is at your disposal, even assistance from the librarians.
• Annual homecoming Our alumni, families, faculty, staff, employers, and future graduates will be invited to attend our annual homecoming. This event brings the entire “campus name” family together for a celebration of our hard work, our successes, and our relationships with each other and the community.
• alumni/ student mentorship program Our graduates may participate in this program to help current students on their roads to graduation and success. The mentorship program involves paring up with a current student to offer advice, tutoring, and overall guidance as they juggle their school work and personal lives.
• Continuing education program Graduates will have opportunities to come back to campus and take continuing education classes, audit a class, or attend program specific seminars.
• alumni speakers Come back to campus and tell your story to current students and/or share stories of the workforce as it relates to your program.
• alumni admission ambassadors Admissions need our graduates to help tell the story in some of the local high schools. Be a part of this team of ambassadors and tell the Career Technical College story.
• alumni volunteerism and community service Take part in community based programs with Career Technical College and help make a difference in our community.
• graduation One of the most exciting days is graduation. Graduates have the opportunity to participate in both the organization of graduation and graduation itself.
• Alumni Magazine—The Graduate, A Network for Success. A quarterly newsletter will be published and distributed by e-mail and on our website. The newsletter will give campus updates, feature students and alumni, let alumni know of upcoming events, and allow alumni to share personal and/or professional news.
• National Alumni Clubs. Delta Career Education Corporation is our parent company. We have alumni chapters at each of our Delta campuses and if you relocate to another region where there is a campus close to you, all the benefits of alumni membership still apply to you at those campuses.
• Alumni Merchandise. You have access to purchase both alumni and general college merchandise from our online store. From diploma frames to tee shirts, your “campus name” online store will be there to help you locate what you are after.
• Chapter MISC. Each Alumni Chapter will offer different programs and discounts. Also, the leadership teams will likely create additional activities and events. Please see your alumni association coordinator for more details.
