The Radiography program provides academic, technical, and clinical education for an entry-level career as a Radiologic Technologist. Referred to as Radiographers, they utilize radiation to produce radiographic images of the internal structures of human anatomy that are used by physicians to diagnose disease. In addition to primary care and production of diagnostic images, other duties may include administrative and educational functions. Graduates may seek careers in hospitals, imaging and surgical centers, clinics, and physicians’ offices.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Career Technical College Radiography program is to produce competent entry-level radiographers by providing the academic foundation, technical skills, clinical practice and professional background in Radiography for a diverse population of traditional and nontraditional students.
Goals:
- Students will be clinically competent.
- Students will communicate effectively.
- Students will use critical thinking and problems solving skills.
- Students will evaluate the importance of professional growth and knowledge.
- The program will offer both traditional and nontraditional Radiography educational tracks to accommodate a diverse population of students.
- The program will graduate entry level technologists.
